YIXUAN: Asian Heritage Reimagined Through a Modern Silhouette
YIXUAN stands out with its modern ball gown silhouette, pairing a strapless, boned bodice for a beautifully sculpted and supportive fit. The design carries the refined character of bridal couture while maintaining a modern presence suited to an international event bringing together beauty representatives from around the world. A lace-up back closure also allows the fit to be adjusted, adding both structure and practicality to the gown.

What gives YIXUAN its distinct character is its custom embroidery, which brings Eastern-inspired details into a contemporary bridal design. Rather than directly adopting the silhouette or structure of traditional dress, the gown places Asian-inspired elements within a modern framework. This allows YIXUAN to retain the character of a contemporary ball gown while creating a visual connection to the cultural influences behind the design.
This approach offers another way to express cultural identity through fashion. Cultural influences do not necessarily have to appear in the form of a complete traditional garment; sometimes, carefully selected details can be enough to evoke the story behind a design.

A Vietnamese Cultural Statement on an International Stage
Miss World 2026 holds particular significance as the competition is being held in Vietnam for the first time. In this context, “Hello Vietnam - Hello World” was not only an event within the competition but also an opportunity for presenting Vietnamese culture, beauty, and creative identity to international contestants and audience.
Fashion can therefore become a visual way of introducing cultural stories. Inspiration drawn from Vietnamese and Asian culture can be expressed through materials, motifs, craftsmanship, or the construction of a design, rather than appearing only through traditional dress.
YIXUAN reflects this connection through its Asian-inspired bridal design, bringing elements of Eastern aesthetics into the work of a Vietnamese couture house. It offers a glimpse of how Vietnamese bridal fashion can carry cultural influences into an international setting while developing its own creative identity.

About the East Meets West Collection
East Meets West is a new collection by P.M.N. Couture that brings together Vietnamese heritage, the elegance of Chinese culture, and contemporary bridal couture. Inspired by Asian botanical imagery, motifs, and traditional craftsmanship, the collection explores these elements through áo dài, cheongsam, and modern bridal designs.
With a focus on preserving cultural depth while expressing it through a new design language, East Meets West offers a contemporary approach to Asian bridal fashion. It also serves as the foundation for P.M.N. Couture to carry the collection's spirit into more accessible design lines — including ready-to-wear in the future.
